Scholarship Search/Application

There are many foundation scholarships available just for BGSU Firelands students. Scholarship awards are based on a variety of criteria, including merit, demonstrated financial need, field of study, participation in a specific program, organization or activities, or any combination of these items. Awards range from $500 to full fees and do not have to be repaid. 

BGSU Firelands Foundation Scholarships require a student to be pursuing a program at the BGSU Firelands campus. Students are not eligible for BGSU Firelands Foundation scholarships while pursuing a program at BGSU Main Campus, or BGSU’s Distance Learning Program. Information about which scholarship programs are restricted to Main or Firelands campus is included in the Terms and Conditions document sent to University scholarship recipients, and online through SFA’s Searchable Scholarship Guide

The application for BGSU Firelands Foundation Scholarships can be found through the Searchable Scholarship Guide

To fill out a BGSU Firelands Foundation Scholarships application:

  • Click on the Searchable Scholarship Guide.
  • Click “Sign in” in the top right corner of the screen.
  • Click “Sign in with Your Institution” and sign in with your BGSU username and password.
  • Complete the General Application.
  • After completing the general application, you will be prompted to complete a Firelands College conditional application. 

To view BGSU Firelands Foundation Scholarships and their criteria:

  • Click on the Searchable Scholarship Guide.
  • Click “Show Filters” near the top right.
  • In the “Scopes” field, click Firelands College.
  • Click “Filter Opportunities”.

To be considered for need-based aid, you must be an admitted student AND file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). When completing the FAFSA, be sure to list BGSU’s school code: 003018.
