BGSU Firelands Emergency Fund

The generosity of the University community makes available one-time, emergency funds up to $500 to support a student’s continued enrollment at BGSU Firelands.

Typical instances that could allow for additional support include students impacted by:

  • Accidents
  • Illness
  • Other unexpected financial hardships

This funding cannot be used to support tuition and fees or other non-essential expenses unrelated to continued academic success.

Students who believe they might qualify for support through the BGSU Firelands Emergency Fund should contact the Office of the Dean at firelands@bgsu.edu.

A member of the BGSU Firelands campus community will respond to your outreach within a business day. Please plan to provide information and supporting documentation surrounding the need for this emergency support, including its impact on your success as a BGSU Firelands student.

Impact the future of our Falcon community

During these uncertain times, both the COVID-19 crisis and nation-wide racial inequities are impacting the future of BGSU and our students. We are grateful for the support from our engaged alumni and friends as we address the complexities of these issues.

BGSU Firelands has implemented unprecedented measures in response to COVID-19. These measures focus on the safety of our students, faculty and staff and reduce the risks of COVID-19, while also recognizing the need for student financial support and our commitment to cultivate an inclusive environment for all Falcons to belong.
