Sandusky resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands

Elvira Wobser of Sandusky has received the Firelands Campus Direct Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. She will receive $3,000 towards tuition for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Established in 2010, this endowed fund supports full- or part-time BGSU Firelands students in nursing or allied health programs. Students must have successfully completed at least one semester and demonstrate financial need.

Wobser is a 2005 graduate of Bashkir Lyceum #136 in Russia where she played basketball and took ethnic Russian folk dance.

She is a senior majoring in nursing at BGSU Firelands.

Wobser is married to Anthony Wobser of Sandusky.

Willard resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands

Erica Lynn De Lara of Willard has received the Firelands Campus Direct Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. She will receive $3,000 towards tuition for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Established in 2010, this endowed fund supports full- or part-time BGSU Firelands students in nursing or allied health programs. Students must have successfully completed at least one semester and demonstrate financial need.

De Lara is a 2014 graduate of Willard High School.

She is a junior majoring in radiologic technology at BGSU Firelands.

De Lara is the daughter of Ronda and Jose de Lara of Willard.

Eric J. Adkins of Sandusky has received the Firelands Campus Direct Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. He will receive $3,000 towards tuition for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Established in 2010, this endowed fund supports full- or part-time BGSU Firelands students in nursing or allied health programs. Students must have successfully completed at least one semester and demonstrate financial need.

Adkins is a 2004 graduate of Fairview High School.

He is a sophomore majoring in nursing at BGSU Firelands where he is on the Dean’s List and previously earned an associate of science degree.

Adkins is married to Rachel Adkins of Sandusky.

Milliana Maria Dunn of Sandusky has received the Firelands Campus Direct Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. She will receive $3,000 towards tuition for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Established in 2010, this endowed fund supports full- or part-time BGSU Firelands students in nursing or allied health programs. Students must have successfully completed at least one semester and demonstrate financial need.

Dunn is a 2014 graduate of St. Mary’s Central Catholic High School where she was on the honor roll. She played basketball, volleyball, and softball. Dunn volunteered her time to the high school concession stand, homecoming and art show set-up, and biddy basketball. She was a member of Youth Elect Services, Teen Leadership Corp, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. She participated in Goodwill clothing drives and is a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Dunn is a junior majoring in radiologic technology at BGSU Firelands.

She is the daughter of Angela and Mark Dunn of Sandusky.

Milan resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands

Jaime M. Danda of Milan has received the Firelands Campus Direct Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. She will receive $3,000 towards tuition for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Established in 2010, this endowed fund supports full- or part-time BGSU Firelands students in nursing or allied health programs. Students must have successfully completed at least one semester and demonstrate financial need.

Danda is a 2015 graduate of Edison High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She received the Coaches Pride Award, Three Sport Award, 3-Year Varsity Award in cross-country, 4-Year Varsity Award in track, and 2-Year Varsity Award in basketball. Danda was team captain and 2nd Team All SBC in cross country. She was a member of Spanish Club, Interact Club, choir, and Varsity Club.

Danda is a sophomore majoring in nursing at BGSU Firelands where she is on the Dean’s List.

She is the daughter of Jaime and Jonathon Danda of Milan.

Clyde resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands

Stephanie Marie Schmidt of Clyde has received the Firelands Campus Direct Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. She will receive $2,000 towards tuition for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Schmidt is a 1985 graduate of Clyde High School.

She is a senior majoring in radiologic technology at BGSU Firelands.

Oak Harbor resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands

Karla R. Fleming of Oak Harbor has received the Firelands Campus Direct Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. She will receive $2,000 towards tuition for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Fleming is a 2000 graduate of New Life Christian Academy.

She is a senior majoring in allied health science and specializing in respiratory care at BGSU Firelands.

Fleming is married to Robert Fleming of Oak Harbor.

Lorain resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands

Patsy Patricia Norman of Lorain has received the Firelands Campus Direct Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. She will receive $2,000 towards tuition for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Norman is a 2006 graduate of Lorain Admiral King High School.

She is a junior at BGSU Firelands and majoring in respiratory therapy. Norman received a BGSU Firelands Multicultural Student Award and was nominated to be a member of the Society for Collegiate Leadership and Achievement.

Bellevue resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands

William Walter Sberna of Bellevue has received the Firelands Campus Direct Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. He will receive $2,000 towards tuition for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Established in 2010, this endowed fund supports full- or part-time BGSU Firelands students in nursing or allied health programs. Students must have successfully completed at least one semester and demonstrate financial need.

Sberna is a 2013 graduate of Bellevue High School.

He is a senior majoring in applied health science and radiologic technology at BGSU Firelands where he is on the Dean’s List. Sberna has received the Society of the Flame Award, Outstanding Student Employee Team Member Award, and the Building Block Award. He is the Radiologic Technology Student Club president, a former member of Student Government, and has participated in theatre.

Sberna is the son of Tammy and Walter Sberna of Bellevue.

Huron resident receives scholarship to attend BGSU Firelands

Stacy M. Willgrube of Huron has received the Firelands Campus Direct Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. She will receive $2,000 towards tuition for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Ross Alan Boetcher of Norwalk has received the Firelands Campus Direct Scholarship to attend Bowling Green State University Firelands College. He will receive $1,000 towards tuition for the 2016-2017 academic year.
