Programs

Falcon Welcome Week
Each fall and spring semester, Student Engagement, Diversity and Inclusion  partners with various offices and departments to present Falcon Fall Welcome and Falcon Winter Welcome Week. This  week-long event cultivates peer-to-peer connections and introduces  students to clubs and organizations, faculty, staff, and campus  resources. Students will find activities, fairs, food and fun all across campus. This is a great time to mix, mingle and make lifelong friends.

Diversity Programming
Diversity programming is an essential component to developing respect for one another, as well as the cultivation and maintenance of a culture of inclusion. The goal of diversity  programming is to sustain a community which continues to support the exploration of difference and its relevance to the preparation of our students for lifelong career growth, lives of engaged citizenship, and leadership in a global society. Through events, workshops, lectures, national speakers, and small group discussions, we aim to shed light on social injustices, and empowering students to make change.

The office coordinates heritage month programming including Hispanic/Latina/Latino/Latinx Heritage Month, Native American and Indigenous Peoples Month, Black History Month and more.

Harvest Fest
Each fall we gather together as an entire campus community, share a meal in gratitude, and support various local organizations through a nonperishable food drive.
