Campus Visit

The best way to experience all that BGSU Firelands has to offer is to plan a visit.  Our Admissions staff will meet with you and discuss admission requirements and application procedures.  We will talk about the degree options you have, and the money you will save by starting at BGSU Firelands.  We will end with a 30-minute walking tour of our campus, where you are sure to meet many of the faculty and staff that will guide you when you start classes.

To schedule a campus visit, please call the Office of Admissions at (419) 372-0607, or email us at fireadm@bgsu.edu.  It will be helpful for us to know the day and time that you would like to visit, and if you have an interest in a specific degree program.

Group Visit

Group visits are designed for high school classes, community organizations, or businesses whose needs may not be met by other tours and admissions events.  A group visit is typically an hour long, which includes a 30-minute admissions information session and a 30-minute walking tour of the campus.

All group visits must be scheduled at least four weeks in advance.  While admissions will work to meet your preferred dates, some dates (i.e. finals week, spring break, holidays, etc.) may be unavailable. If we cannot arrange a visit for your group on the date you request, we will work to schedule an alternate day to suit your needs.

BGSU Firelands requests a minimum of 1 chaperone per 15 students.  BGSU Firelands will expect that your group leader has the necessary emergency contact information for the group’s participants, should any such information be necessary while on campus.  Please be on-time for your visit. While BGSU Firelands will work to adjust due to unexpected circumstances surrounding your group’s arrival, we cannot guarantee the full BGSU Firelands experience if your group does not arrive on time.

To schedule a group visit, please email fireadm@bgsu.edu with the following information:

  • Name and address of your school or organization
  • Name, telephone number, and email of the organizer
  • Grade of the visiting students
  • Number of visiting students
  • Purpose of visit (for example, college visit, part of a high school class, etc.)
  • Any necessary visitor accommodations
  • Preferred dates and times.  We may not be able to accommodate your preferred dates and times, but we will try.
