Carol M. Puder
Carol Puder is the Director of Clinical Education for the Respiratory Care program and has been at BGSU Firelands since 1995. During that time, she has taught various lecture and lab courses as well as the online Introduction to Respiratory Care course. She is focused on teaching all of the clinical courses for the program and spends a lot of time with students at various health care facilities. Her students attend rotations in many different environments from intensive care units to home care and they can be anywhere from Cleveland to Toledo. She believes in the meaningful integration of technology into her courses to increase student learning and communication. Technology and Web 2.0 tools are incorporated into her courses in order to design, develop, and administer learning experiences for students across a wide range of geographic locations. She received the Distinguished Part-Time Teacher award in 2012.
Research Interests/Selected Publications
Ms. Puder's interests focus on the use of online learning strategies, clinical simulation, and case study use in allied health clinical education.
