THE CONSTANCE FENIMORE WOOLSON SOCIETY

History

The Society began during a meeting of Woolson scholars at Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida, January 27-29, 1995.  It was organized by Kate Reich, director of the Woolson Archives, to mark the centenary of Woolson's death. Conferees organized a society to plan future conferences and establish a permanent author society within the American Literature Association. The Woolson section at the ALA occurs once a year. Conferences sponsored by the Woolson Society are held every two or three years and the programs are archived by date.

Membership

There are no fees or formal procedures to join the Woolson Society. We welcome any and all interested in Woolson to join our listserv (see below), participate in our conferences, and attend our panels at the ALA and SSAWW.

The Society sponsors an on-line discussion list, which is free.  To subscribe to the Woolson discussion list, complete the following steps:

            2.  Leave the subject line blank.
