Overview
The Office of Technology Support Services is responsible for the support and maintenance of all desktop and server systems on the BGSU Firelands campus, including peripherals and software support. A list of supported software can by obtained by contacting OTSS. Requests for Hardware or Software Support must be filed in one one of the following ways:
When you need technical assistance please fill out a work order. This can be accomplished in three ways:
- You may physically fill out a work order and send it to the computer lab.
- You may call tech support from an on-campus phone at '20626' or cal 419 433 5560 extension '20743' and request support.
- You may also email Jackie McIntosh at mcintos@bgnet.bgsu.edu with your work request, however you must Carbon Copy your message to the Director of Technology Support Services, Julie Rogers jrogers@bgnet.bgsu.edu for routing purposes.
Instructional Software Support
Requests for speciality software for courses, training and demonstration must be submitted to the Office of Technology Support Services Three Weeks Prior to the beginning of the semester it will be used. You must provide sufficient proof of licensure for the software in writing, along with the original installation media for the applications. These will be kept on file with OTSS for the duration of the course.
Requests for computer projector carts must be submitted to the Office of Technology Support Services at least Two Weeks prior to the start of the semester the equipment will be needed. If you require any media or software to be installed on the projectors (presentations, video clips, etc.) you must submit a copy of the media, along with appropriate licensure for materials which are copyrighted or require installation.
