Meetings

Meetings for the Peace and Justice Club are regularly scheduled in "The Pit" / Student Lounge area on the first floor of the North Building every Wednesday. For more information contact the advisor.

About Us

The BGSU Firelands Peace and Justice Club," A nonpartisan, broad-based student group concerned about:

• The need for increased financial assistance (not loans) for students in higher education.
• The need for a living wage for workers.
• The need for pay equity in the law.
• The need to protect affirmative action for women and minorities.
• The need to protect the civil and voting rights of minorities and all voters.
• The need to fight racial profiling in the Justice system.
• The impact of NAFTA, GATT, FTAA and the WTO on all workers.
• The need to protect a worker's right to organize, to collective bargaining and a safe workplace.
• The need for true campaign finance, election reform and representation.
• The need for educational reform in the funding of public education
• The need to look at a universal healthcare system in the richest country in history.
• and many other issues.. Remember, the issues are many, the fighters are few and they all affect you!
