Lovey Leavell, Student Affairs
Lovey Anna Leavell, 67 years young, is the wife of Daniel I. Sr., mother of three children, and Gramma of three. Lovey started attending Firelands as a fulltime student Spring Semester, 2006, and was quickly dubbed "class cutup" by some of her professors wondering how they got so "lucky". (Previous Dean Smith nicknamed her "trouble"). She is proud of the fact that her first semester here, she was on the Dean's List.
Lovey's major is Liberal Studies but she is considering Political Science since she has accumulated 15 hours in that field and finds it fascinating. She is very active in politics having volunteered as Assistant Erie County Coordinator for the Marcy Kaptur campaign as well as having volunteered with the Chris Redfern campaign, and several of the local candidates. She assisted in coordinating the voter registration last fall on campus. Lovey will graduate with her Associate of Arts degree in December 2007.
