Our Services
Audio Visual Services staff provide audio-visual equipment to faculty teaching credit and non-credit courses listed in the College's official schedules. This equipment is ordered in advance utilizing an Instructor Video/Film Request Form. The staff consult with faculty in order to meet their requests with timely, content-appropriate and cost-effective products and services. All requests are prioritized in accordance with Department, College, and University missions and in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Conferencing Services
Teleconferencing
Audio Visual Services has satellite capabilities that are available to community agencies for a fee. The outside agent would be required to register and pay for the teleconference, provide their own facilitator/support person. Audio Visual Services will provide technical assistance. Audio Visual Services staff would be happy to discuss your teleconference needs with you.
Videoconferencing
Audio Visual Services is equipped with interactive videoconferencing equipment. This equipment and Audio Visual Services staff are available to help you with your meeting and interview needs.
On Site Workshop / Seminar Audio Visual Services
Audio Visual Services staff will work with you to identify your audio-visual equipment needs and to train your staff in equipment operation.
Interactive Distance Education Courses
Utilizing interactive videoconferencing equipment, BGSU Firelands and Bowling Green State University students are able to participate in courses not physically available at their home campus. Audio Visual Services personnel facilitate these courses on this campus and act as course liaisons for Bowling Green faculty. Due to the nature of this service, the first priority of the Audio Visual Services staff is to be present in the office during all interactive courses.
Instructional Television Committee
This committee meets at least twice per year to determine what instructional media to purchase for placement in the BGSU Firelands Library Collection.
Media Purchase Policy
Faculty are requested to make recommendations for media purchases with a short rationale and the committee will base their decision on that rationale.
Service and Products
Services and products for official College and University programs are provided within the Audio Visual Services budget, unless the circumstances of delivery make charge backs for out-of-pocket expenses necessary. Services delivered to College and University clients outside of official schedules are billed at previously negotiated rates. Students may arrange for services through faculty and staff, subject to these same considerations.
