Transfer With Ease Fast Facts

  • You can begin one of the more than 200 BGSU undergraduate majors and minors at BGSU Firelands and easily transfer to the main campus or another two- or four-year school.
  • Associate degree programs are designed to prepare you for transfer to bachelor's programs or for entry into the job market in a technical or paraprofessional area.
  • BGSU Firelands and the main campus at Bowling Green are closely linked. Courses and programs are carefully coordinated to ensure a smooth transition if you wish to begin your baccalaureate degree at BGSU Firelands and then transfer to the main campus.

A Study In Affordability

  • A full-time student enrolled for 11 or more credit hours pays $2,106 per semester. If you enroll for fewer hours, you will pay even less. While BGSU Firelands is committed to keeping tuition as low as possible, fees are subject to change.
  • Senior Adult Grants for Education (SAGE) allow Ohio residents age 60 and older to enroll tuition-free in credit courses on a space-available, noncredit basis.
  • About 70% of BGSU Firelands students receive financial aid.
  • BGSU is currently evaluating the automatic and renewable scholarship program. If you plan to apply to BGSU Firelands as an entering freshman for fall 2008, check back for specific details. It may help you assess your scholarship opportunities to know that students with a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale at the end of the junior year and a 23 or higher ACT composite or 1050 or higher SAT critical reading plus math may qualify for a scholarship. Scholarship awards begin at $1,500.
  • During 2006-07 more than $11 million was awarded to BGSU Firelands students through scholarships, grants, loans and the federal work-study program.
