| Step 10: |
| Wait Lists |
- When all sections of a course
are full, you can place your name on a list of students who
want to register for that course. This is the wait
list. If the
department can open more seats in a section, the department will add
students from the wait list into the class and then notify the students
by email or by phone. Please note that not all courses will have a wait
list available.
- If you want to put yourself on a wait list,
go to the MyServices module of
MyBGSU and select Wait Listing to
add your name to a wait list. Remember that all sections of a course must be full
before you can put your name on a wait list. If a wait list is not
available for a particular course, the system will tell you. Also,
note that you can put your name on a wait list for only a limited
time. Each semester will have a cut-off date for putting your
name on a wait list (see the official
BGSU calendar). After
that date, wait listing is unavailable.
- You should always try to register for alternate courses that meet your
degree requirements before you put your name on a wait list. Your
adviser will help you make a list of these alternate courses; thus, it
is extremely important to make an advising appointment before you
register. If all sections of the courses you need are full, then you can
add your name to a wait list.
