Important Academic Policies and Procedures |
- Grading Policies
- Your grade point average (GPA) is important to the successful
completion of your degree program. This section of the
undergraduate catalog shows you how you grade point average is calculated.
- If it becomes necessary to request an
incomplete (INC) in a course, this section of the catalog tells how to go about requesting an incomplete, how incompletes
affect grades, and deadlines for incomplete completion.
Please remember that instructors are not required to give you an
incomplete even if you ask for one.
- Grade Appeals
(Scroll down page) - If you think you received a wrong grade for one of your courses,
you can go through the grade appeal process. This section of the
catalog explains the grade appeal process, who to contact, and the
procedure which must be followed. Please note the semester
deadlines for filing a grade appeal.
- Retakes - BGSU allows students to retake two
courses and replace their old grade with their new grade. After the two retakes have been used, any repeated course will have its grade averaged with the previous grade received.
