| More Information About Credit Hours
|
- The number of credit hours indicate the
approximate number of hours you will be in class each week.
Laboratory courses or courses that have a laboratory component will
meet more hours than the credit hour number indicates.
- You should plan to spend a minimum of two hours of study time for every hour
you're in class each week, on average. Often, there will be weeks
when you'll spend much more time on homework and projects!
- There are University mandated requirements for the
minimum number of credit hours necessary to complete a particular degree program:
- Associate degrees require a minimum of 62 credit hours.
- Bachelor's degrees require a minimum of 122 credit hours.
- However, because of specific degree requirements,
some degree programs may require more than the minimum number of
hours to complete. Check with your adviser.
- The total number of credit hours earned
determines your class standing (freshman, sophomore, etc.)
