| Class Schedules |
| The current and proposed
course schedules at BGSU Firelands are available
here
under "Course Schedules." Be sure to note the following pieces
of information on each course schedule: |
- Call Number:
Each section of a course is
assigned a unique call number. Be sure to note the particular
call number of the class section you want. Accuracy is
important.
- Course Description:
This is the official title of the course.
- Course Number: This
number is used to differentiate courses within departments.
For example, MATH 112 is a different course than MATH 120.
- BG Perspective: This
column tells you if a particular course fulfills the BG Perspective
requirements for bachelor degrees at BGSU. The letters used
also tell you in which category a course is found.
- Credit Hours: This is
the number of credit hours the course is worth. It is only an
approximation for the number of hours the course meets each week
since "lab" courses meet more often. Go to the next
page for more information on credit hours.
- Instructor: This
indicates who is teaching the course. If it says "Staff" here,
it means that the department has not yet assigned an instructor for
that course.
- Meeting Time
(Dates): This tells you
when (days and times) a class is scheduled. For example, if
you see "5-7 pm TR," it means that class meets every Tuesday and
Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you see "10:30
MWF," it means that class meets every Monday, Wednesday, and
Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. for an hour. Also, if a class
meets on dates other than the entire semester, you'll see the
particular dates on which that class meets. Any course whose
listing is in bold italic print starts at 5:00 p.m. or later.
