All BGSU Firelands students must register their
motor vehicles with BGSU on-line via
MyBGSU under the My
Vehicle Registration link. There is no charge for parking on
the BGSU Firelands campus provided that ALL classes for which the
student registers are BGSU Firelands courses. Once registered,
students will be sent a parking permit to be hung from the rearview
mirror. This permit must be displayed whenever a vehicle is parked
on campus property. Note that the registration of a motor vehicle
is complete only after the parking permit is displayed. All parking
areas are clearly marked with capital letters A through H, attached high
on parking lot lamp posts. Students are NOT to park in Lot
A (reserved for faculty, staff, and visitors), Lot H (Cedar Point Center
lot), or in any cul-de-sac. Students with regular parking permits
may park in all other designated parking areas except marked
handicapped/medical parking spaces.
Violations of
the parking regulations, as well as any other State of Ohio motor
vehicle laws while on campus, will result in a citation issued by the
Erie County Sheriff's office. Any penalties resulting from a
citation are to be paid and/or contested at the Huron Municipal Court or
at the Erie County Juvenile Court, as indicated on the citation.
