1976

Today BGSU Firelands, which became a college of BGSU in 1976, is an accredited member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

1981

A Fitness Trail was constructed in 1981 through the generosity of John and Ceil Frost. The Trail combines jogging and the performance of 32 specific exercises at 20 locations along an outdoor trail on the campus.

1984

The installation of an Instructional Television Network (ITVN) in 1984 was made possible again by the generosity of area residents. The BGSU Firelands Instructional Media Center provided responsive and flexible instructional television and media support for faculty, staff and students primarily through an internal eight-channel television system, a two-channel microwave television link with the Bowling Green campus, and a community cable television channel designated the Firelands Knowledge Network.
